Georgiades’ complaint: Members of NGOs went to a hospital in Chios to guide a family of migrants to denounce the coast guard, and the NSA was also informed

"We will not allow foreign interests to endanger our Homeland and its unwavering decision to guard our borders" says the Health Minister

Newsroom February 5 08:24

In response to a public complaint received from a governor of a public hospital in Chios about members of NGOs who entered a clinic for “guiding a family of migrants, with the possible aim of shaping a narrative for asylum applications or complaints against the Coast Guard (push backs, etc.)”, Adonis Georgiades said on Thursday morning.

As the Health Minister says, the HHS has also been informed about the incident.

“Order and legality are non-negotiable. We will not allow foreign interests to endanger our country and its unshakable decision to guard our borders,” Adonis Georgiades concludes in his post.

The whole post by Adonis Georgiadis

Today, I received a serious complaint from the Governor of a public hospital structure in Chios.

Members of NGOs showed up uninvited at a Surgical Clinic, despite an explicit refusal to provide any “assistance”.
In fact, they falsely told the staff that they had consulted with the administration.

Even more serious: the alleged “interpreters” were not interpreting, but – according to the Administration’s assessment – were guiding a family of immigrants, with the possible aim of shaping a narrative for asylum applications or even complaints against the Coast Guard (push backs, etc.).

The people involved were immediately removed, and the incident was reported to the NIS.
