The Acropolis has acquired 21st place of the top monuments in the world, according to users of the Tripadvisor travel website.

These annual rankings are based on reviews from millions of users of the online platform from across the world. In order to discover the winner, an algorithm which takes the quantity and quality of reviews was used. The top monument in the world, according to said reviews was Angkor Wat, in Cambodia, followed by Machu Pichu and Taj Mahal.
